I am sorry not to have a good one about vaccine adjuvants (the brochure on aluminum in vaccines from Physicians for Informed Consent listed below in the Other Super-Helpful Items section does have good information on this important topic, however, as does the Vaccine Papers site), or on VAERS – the U.S. Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (& its routine spectacular under-reporting of vaccine injury). To my regret I also don’t have one about the scandalous, deliberate CDC cover-up of a causal relationship between the MMR vaccine & autism rates.
Just to indicate that, like the proverbial iceberg, this is a deep topic!

Finally ... the Introduction!
I spent 63 years of my life not giving much, if any, thought to “the vaccine issue.” I wasn’t aware there was an issue! Like many – perhaps most – people, vaccination was just a given. Like motherhood and apple pie. Who needed to think about it??
Life conspired to change this in early 2016, when I dove into the topic with both feet.
For the record, my diving into new topics is not a new thing for me. I spent a big chunk of my adult life as an activist – mostly on environmental issues. Ever since 1989, going deeply into a topic or issue became second nature for me. Over the past 30+ years, I dove in – at different times – on
waste – household & industrial
incineration of household waste
pesticides
water & air pollution (these are broad categories!)
the ozone layer
forest issues
PVC plastic
energy issues / energy conservation
cancer / cancer prevention
climate change
endocrine disruption
organic food

My bookshelves attest to this. Plenty of books, plenty of reading, plenty of research.
One learns so much!
For me, vaccination had simply not warranted my attention (so I thought) until 6 years ago. Turns out I had really a lot to learn!
Most of what I learned is not known, I think, by most people. Like so many, I’d been captured all my life by quick phrases that I thought told me all I needed to know (e.g. “Vaccines are safe & effective.” “Vaccines eradicated polio/smallpox.”). These are merely sound bites, I now realize in retrospect, that shut down my inclination to inquire more deeply. Like so many of us, I absorbed them as though they rendered research unnecessary. In early 2016, however, I quickly learned that the vaccine issue is much like that iceberg image I used up top. Only a very little bit is showing, but there is simply scads more lying beneath the surface.
I think our children – well, all of us! – deserve more than a mindless acceptance of sound bites crafted by PR firms working on behalf of an industry that profits hugely from the sale of vaccines. An industry that is not legally obligated to pay any financial penalty for the many injuries & deaths it causes. That’s right – they have no legal liability.

*** The Important Note about the Lack of Proper Vaccine Safety Testing
Most people – even most medical doctors & likely most scientists – assume that vaccines have been fully tested for safety in properly conducted placebo trials. As it happens, this is not in fact the case. They are not tested against inert placebos, but against vaccine adjuvants. This is because the CDC – the U.S. Centers for Disease Control – deems vaccines to be “biologics,” and as such are not required to undergo proper placebo trials. Here is an explanation of this little-understood fact:

Q: What is your greatest concern about the government mandating vaccinations?
A: I have many concerns about that. My greatest concern is that vaccines are not safety-studied. And that is an artifact of the CDC’s legacy, the Public Health Service, which was a quasi-military agency. The vaccine program was launched as a national security defense against biological attacks on our country. If the Russians attacked us, they wanted to make sure we could formulate and deploy a vaccine to two hundred million civilians with no regulatory impediments. But, they recognized that if they called vaccines a “medicine” they would have to do placebo-controlled, randomized testing which takes five years. So, they called them something else. They called them “biologics” and then biologics were exempted from safety testing. Back then, there were only three vaccines, and it didn’t make much of an impact. But today, children are mandated to take 72 doses of 16 vaccines before the age of 18. None of them have ever been tested against placebo. Nobody knows what the risk profile is of those vaccines. And nobody knows whether the vaccines are causing more injuries than they’re averting. And the science indicates that indeed, many of those vaccines – if not all of them – are causing more injuries than they are avoiding.
Most people argue that vaccines are safe because the CDC says they’re safe, because the WHO says they’re safe, or because my doctor says they’re safe. In fact, there are no studies that prove vaccines safe. There are no studies in which vaccinated populations are compared to unvaccinated populations and show vaccinated populations have better health outcomes. There are about 61 studies that we’ve uncovered that compare vaccinated populations and unvaccinated populations, and the vaccinated populations are always sicker. They have more diabetes, they have more autism, they have more special education, they have more hospital visits, more earaches, more auto immune diseases, they have more allergies, there’s no study that we’ve ever been able to find that shows vaccinated populations are healthier.
Note: I covered this lack of safety testing in my 2019 posting 30 Things you may not know about vaccines While I don’t like to toot my own horn, as the saying goes, there is an awful lot else in that posting (lots more than 30 things!), and I highly recommend that any reader who has not done much (if any) research into vaccines take a quick look at it!
