Who am I?
An introduction
I’m a long-time (mostly environmental, with some other social justice stuff thrown in there, but now sort of semi-retired) activist and writer.
I’ve gone down “into the weeds” on a wide range of environmental issues over the past 35 or so years. These include cancer prevention, climate change, energy conservation, lead, nuclear issues, the ozone layer, pesticides, toxics in general, waste, & water issues.
Canadian, born and bred. Not so much of a “patriot” in these days and times. As if, hmmm??
A lot of my writings going back to 2009 (though not most of my nuke-related stuff) can be found in this location.
I write about motherhood, patriarchy, environmental stuff, near-term human extinction, religion – more recently, vaccines, Covid and well ... just a lot of different things. Also? Walking – I’m a religious walker! And I share really a lot of inspiring quotations in the Quotation Central section of the site. You might like to check them out! A few categories included there: evil, freedom gratitude, science, walking, Orwell quotations ... & many-many others.
For a variety of reasons, now seems like a good time to start posting on an alternate platform.
So ... here I am!
Hmmm. Let me add, finally, that this first posting is not the one I’d intended to share as my debut item here. Life keeps getting more & more unpredictable by the day, I find. As I like to put it, events keep overtaking us.
