You're right, Janet, it is a powerful documentary! Thank you for mentioning the discussion panel as I didn't know it took place. Will watch that too. Take care.

It's a good one, so well worth seeing. I love what the doc's maker Mikki Willis said at the end about being brave & spreading the word. It definitely inspired me!!

Well, I have a pretty small number of subscribers. Folks seem to like (& share) my funny posts more than my "serious" ones. Oh well. I just hope people consider sharing either the email I sent to the people I know, or the posting. We do what we can do!

So.. I did notice your other post and the documentary WHY CAN'T WE TALK ABOUT THIS?

My dear friend: today is America's Independence day celebration. I do have friends in Canada who also have a which is July 1. I forgot.. I actually was in Toronto in 2010 coincidentally,, that day taking care of someone's Mom (RIP now). BUT we can talk about Covid and the long term impact. I woke up this morning thinking.. even though I have a super busy week, feeling back to normal (almost except the neck crinking which has subsided, I was not Vaxxed but I got a really I mean BAD CASE of Covid July 21, 2021. Will never forget it. Woke up w/ no smell or taste and I really thought I may die: BUT having worked in Hospitals. I said: SELF: PRAY and stay on HOME and medicate yourself: I didn't spend my life and 6 to 8 years including clinical rotations to see someone who knows less than I do since i worked in Virology

FIRST.. ONE DAY I MAY talk about this again. As a Christian: I will use the excuse of NOT wanting to talk "THIS" NOW as there is SEASON in time.. to talk about certain TOPICS.. and for me.. this is not the SEASON in Virginia to dwell on this topic.. this is me PERSONALLY. I love CS LEWIS but I totally disagree w/ the second quote: I MEAN VEHEMENTLY: that is almost like PRE CRIME SIN.. or another way of putting it: SNITCH ON WHAT OTHER PEOPLE COULD BE THINKING:

AH, now you realize that not everyone perceives "so called reasoned statements" like that one the same way. As soon as I saw that.. Martin Luther. and I am former CATHOLIC: I KNEW where that came from. Not only that I come from a (ancestors in Germany) long time back to at least the 1500s Catholics and later Lutherans. THE QUOTE IS THUS: You are not only responsible for what you say, but also for what you do not say." This quote encapsulates a profound truth about human responsibility and the consequences of silence... OH YEAH.. that is very profound truth but only if you believe that SILENCE IS COMPLICITY. WE COULD HAVE A LONG CONVERSATION ABOUT THE VENAL and MORTAL sins.. :) Kidding. I left the Catholic church more years ago.. let's be kind to my age non reveal more than 30 years ago and I am Christian. SO I GET IT.. but being SILENT and or as it called in Catholic circles: LYING MY OMISSION.. which is the same.. as Luther said, with a nuanced difference is does not mean complicity with the SINNER or Sin Eater.. girlfriend.

JESUS IS THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE! When one is guided by the WORD of GOD,, not "debated" or persuaded by human interaction which claims it is one's DUTY to NOT BE SILENT.. which is part of an insidious campaign in the UNITED STATES (pre 21 Million Illegals) I mean in the 90s.. called "SEE SOMETHING SAY SOMETHING". I am not down with that.

You have a BLESSED day and KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.. Isabell :) Happy late Canadian Independence day.. at least you got the year right ! ROFL. ....ODE TO JOY.. music now.. :)

Janet - I’ve watched Follow the Silenced a couple of times and listened to that heated panel discussion afterwards. I get it - what’s been done to people is so very heartbreaking and infuriating. The anger is understandable.

Praying you get some good conversations going. Or at the very least, some acknowledgments 🙏🙏🙏

It's the old do what you gotta do - & detach from the outcome. I really hope I did some good with both the posting & the email! Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. But - it felt to me like something I had to do. So. Here btw is a top favourite quote for me: “4 Rules for Life: Show up. Pay attention. Tell the truth. Don’t be attached to the results.” – Angeles Arrien Angeles Arrien, U.S. teacher, author (1940 – )
