Was a big fan of Dr. Brene Brown. She got me through a very rough patch. Vulnerability is not something us guys learn from modern action movies, learned some of it from her. Will have to go and catch up with her. Will go look at the links you posted. Thanks
Brene Brown is awesome! And ... the whole concept of revealing our vulnerabilities is surely not something men are taught. I'm not sure we women/females/girls are taught it either - but we see it modelled around us, I guess?
There are a few, mostly ignored, major threads that shorten our lives and result in massive destruction, that ultimately only profits the elite. Everyone else suffers and pays for their games.
Another such topic Brene shines light on, is perfectionism. We've gone from a society where quite a few could program a computer, to one where the computers program us. We are trying to emulate and perform like computers. This is terrifying.
We have the Maid program in Canada. We now euthanize more people than any country in the world. Mattias Desmet's theories often stem from a large portion of lonely people. They despair and Canada's solution is assisted suicide.
You raise an interesting point about how females are socialized. I purposely taught my daughter to be a bit disagreeable. This may have come back to bite us in her teen years, but my god the mother and adult she has become. A powerhouse.
Sorry a bit isolated here. It hit -40 last night, going off long winded. Have a good day.
